The only reason I rate this an "8" is because the locking latch (left side only) had broken off on my first road trip. I quickly replaced it with a latch and pad lock from Home Depot that requierd a little drilling and relocated the lock to the center of the case.

Fantastic product and ingenious design. A must have for any musician, especially those who travel by plane with baggage restrictions. The airlines are brutal, but I must say that my ANVIL flight cases that protect my guitars look way more abused than this Gator case and they both travel together and have the same milage. The Gator case still looks new.
