Ibanez EDB405 Ergodyne 5-String Electric Bass
New bass making technologies allow the Ergodyne's acclaimed comfortable shape to be crafted in wood for more natural tones. The EDB's ergonomic body offers a curved back for supreme comfort and a scooped-out front for slapping and popping. Strong, slender two-octave maple neck offers fast and easy fretwork. Powerful passive pickups and active EQ.
Feature: It came with a worthless guitar cable and the Allen wrenches necessary to set it up. Its components are an excellent balance of price and quality.
Quality: Its quality was incredible for the price. The screw holes for the plastic plate covering the electronics in the back were slightly mis-drilled. This thing is solid; it will last forever.
Value: ABSOLUTELY!!!
Desirability: This bass looks great; I've gotten a lot of good comments on it, especially from other bassists.
Sound: I love the sound of this bass with steel flatwounds; however, it is very harsh with the stock strings.
Ease of Use: The tone knob and the phat EQ can change the sound enormously with just a simple twist. It came with the clearest manual I have ever seen Its neck makes playing this bass a dream.
Overall: I don't plan to get rid of this one! If it got stolen, I'd buy another (after crying for a week).
